Our History

80 Years Building Bridges

Founded in 1943, during a challenging historical moment for the world, CAMARBRA was born with a clear vision: to be a space for dialogue and solutions between the business sectors of Brazil and Argentina.

Since then, our trajectory has been intertwined with the very evolution of bilateral trade. We were founded on non-negotiable principles of ethics, transparency, and freedom of trade—values established by our founders and which, eight decades later, continue to guide our every decision.

More than an institution, we are a living organism that identifies obstacles and proposes solutions to diplomatic and governmental bodies. From an analog era to the digital age, we have evolved our services, but maintained our essence: the firm and independent defense of the interests of those who produce and integrate our nations.

Be a Part of This Story

Your company’s presence in this cooperative environment is fundamental to the next chapters of this journey. Partner with and strengthen your business relationships in the Brazil-Argentina axis, alongside partners committed to the future.

Why initiate or expand a bilateral relationship?

Brazil and Argentina tend to be the first destinations for companies and entrepreneurs seeking options to expand their markets. Traditionally, this expansion, beyond domestic markets, was related to foreign trade, but today it is observed that dimensions such as investments, service integration, and digital markets create new opportunities and challenges. In turn, the consolidation of democracies and the evolution in the institutional, political, and cultural fields, resulting from the existence of MERCOSUR , make it essential that all those operating within this “enlarged country” have a place to discuss their common interests and evolve towards finding solutions to their potential problems, as well as expanding and fostering the relationship between these two countries.

Governance

Corporate Governance and Compliance

The Chamber’s governance is exercised based on non-negotiable principles of legality, transparency, impartiality, and institutional accountability. More than just internal rules, our conduct reflects alignment with global best practices, including the principles of the OECD Convention against Transnational Corruption and Bribery.

Organizational Structure

The management of the organization is divided into two complementary spheres:

  • Executive Board: Responsible for the strategic and operational management of day-to-day operations.
  • Advisory Board: An institutional support body comprised of market leaders, offering technical assistance and long-term guidance.

This governance is guided by the Articles of Association and grounded in the Chamber’s commitment to legal certainty and the sustainable development of relations between Brazil and Argentina.

PURPOSE

To act proactively in promoting integration between Brazil and Argentina, fostering sustainable bilateral relations aligned with contemporary demands.

VISION

To be a relevant and impartial institutional agent, facilitating binational integration in the business, educational, cultural, and socio-environmental spheres.

Ethics

To conduct actions with integrity, responsibility, and respect for the laws of both countries.

To act impartially, without political or partisan ties, preserving the interests of the Chamber and its members.

To encourage constructive dialogue between the various sectors of society and between the nations involved.

To continuously seek improvement in management, services provided, and institutional representation.

To foster strong ties between Brazil and Argentina in all relevant spheres: economic, social, cultural, and environmental.
